COSA 2015* Pharma: Developing Drugs at the Speed of Need (#109)
The pharmaceutical industry is at the forefront of the battle against cancer. While much incremental progress has already been made, even with the evolution of targeted therapies, the holy grail of a cure is still elusive for most types of cancer. There has never been more pressure to develop medicines which will extend the lives of patients with cancer and deliver them to the market in the shortest possible time. This presentation will examine some of the critical success factors and also highlight some of the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry as it tries to design the future treatment of cancer.
