Professor Ward is the Director of the Centre for Functioning and Health Research in Metro South Health, Queensland Health, and Professor in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, The University of Queensland. Liz is a speech pathologist and a leading international researcher in head and neck cancer with over 400 publications. She has successfully implemented a number of new models of care for patients with head and neck cancer.
