Tracey Doherty

Tracey Doherty is the Service Director and Professsional Nurse Lead of SA Cancer Service (SACS) providing statewide leadership, oversight and advice on cancer governance, policy, strategy and service planning. She has extensive experience in cancer leadership at both a state and national level building on a clinically focused nursing career spanning more than 28 years with over 20 years specialising in cancer care. In 2005 she became the first endorsed Oncology Nurse Practitioner in Australia. Tracey leads the South Australian Cancer Survivorship Framework project and is the Deputy Facilitator of the Survivorship Stream on the South Australian Comprehensive Cancer Consortium at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Other areas of interest focus on exploration and implementation of innovative models of care and improving the governance, quality and safety of cancer services. She is passionate about impacting positively on cancer care experience and outcomes through collaborative development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of consumer-centered, evidence based programs and initiatives.
