John Kwan
Westmead Hospital, NSW, Australia
Dr John Kwan is a consultant haematologist and transplant physician of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Service at Westmead Hospital, Sydney.
Dr Kwan underwent medical training through the University of Sydney and later undertook clinical fellowships in alternative donor stem cell transplantation at St Vincents Hospital, Sydney and the Jules Bordet Institute, Brussels. He is extensively involved in the T-cell immunotherapy program of the Sydney Cellular Therapies Laboratory in improving immune reconstitution and the long-term health outcomes from stem cell transplantation.
He is a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney, and the current Co-chair of the BMT Network of NSW through the Agency for Clinical Innovation.
