Mark Frydenberg completed his Urology training in Australia in 1991 and then completed a formal fellowship in Urologic Oncology (Urologic Cancer Surgery) at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA during 1991-2. He specialises in major open urological cancer operations and has been in charge of a major academic urology department since 1997. He was the Chairman, Urological Oncology Special Advisory Group, Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand between 2007-2013 until taking up his role as Vice President of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, and takes over as President in 2015.
