A/Prof Dan Buchanan (PhD in 2010 from UQ) is a NHMRC R.D. Wright Biomedical Career Development Fellow and Head of the Colorectal Oncogenomics Group within Department of Clinical Pathology, University of Melbourne, leading a multi-disciplinary research group focused on precision prevention for colorectal and endometrial cancer.
His has over 180 peer-reviewed publications and his research is focused on the genomic pathology of hereditary cancer and polyposis, developing world-leading bioresources. He is the PI of the NHMRC-funded ANGELS study (Applying Novel Genomic approaches to Early-onset and suspected Lynch Syndrome colorectal and endometrial cancers), PI of the International Genetics of Colonic Polyposis Study and co-PI of the Australasian Colorectal Cancer Family Registry.
