A/Prof Jayesh Desai is a Medical Oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre/Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC), and a Senior Clinical Research Fellow in the Systems Biology and Personalised Medicine Division at WEHI. He has extensive experience in translational research applied to early drug development, and in the use of genomics in therapeutic delivery/early phase trials. He is Head of Early Drug Development Trials at the Pater Mac/Parkville trials unit, and has been the Chair of the Cancer Trials Australia (CTA) Phase I Drug Development Program for a number of years. Jayesh has been Principal Investigator on approx. 30 clinical trials over the last 5 years including 25 Phase I and 1st in man trials with a number of novel agents targeting key immuno-regulatory pathways.
