Jac Mathieson is currently working as a Project Manager for the operating model as part of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Project. Prior to this Jac has worked for a number of years at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in different nursing roles including; Patient Service Manager, Melanoma Nurse Co-ordinator and most recently the Nurse Unit Manager of Cancer Imaging. In 2013 Jac moved to NZ for a year and was the inpatient nurse manager at Te Omanga Hospice. She has completed a Masters of Advanced Practice Nursing (Oncology and Palliative Care) through the University of Melbourne, undertaking a minor thesis that looked at the follow up preferences of patients following the diagnosis of a thin Melanoma.
Jac has always had a strong passion for Cancer Nursing. She has been the Victorian Representative on the National Executive for the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia and has been an active member of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation – Cancer Group.
