Marina Reeves

Marina Reeves is an Associate Professor in Nutrition in the School of Public Health, and Deputy Associate Dean (Researcher Development) in the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Queensland. She is also an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian. Her program of research is focused on the role of weight, body composition, diet and physical activity in improving outcomes for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Her research has been funded by continuous funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) over the last 10 years. Marina has a particular interest in the use of broad-reach methods for delivering interventions (e.g. delivered via telephone, SMS) to increase access/reach and cost-effectiveness. A/Prof Reeves is currently leading a pilot study evaluating an exercise and diet intervention for women diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, the first of its kind internationally.
