Mary-Anne Young has been a practicing genetic counsellor for over 20 years. In 1997 she established the Familial Cancer Centre at Peter MacCallum where she is the Senior Genetic Counsellor. Prior to that Mary-Anne worked in prenatal, paediatric and general genetics.
Mary-Anne is actively involved in psychosocial research in genetics, specifically in the area of decision making regarding the utilisation of genetic testing in both the research and clinical setting.
