Ilona Juraskova (PhD, MPsych) is an Associate Professor in Health Psychology at the School of Psychology, and Deputy Director at the Centre for Medical Psychology and Evidence-based Decision-making (CeMPED), both at the University of Sydney. Ilona has over 20 years’ experience in conducting psycho-oncology research, and has taught health and clinical psychology to students and clinicians over the last 10 years. Her research program has primarily focused on improving doctor-patient-family communication, shared decision-making and psychosexual adjustment. She has developed and evaluated many evidence-based psychosocial interventions and communication resources that can be readily implemented into clinical practice. Ilona has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers, and has received over $6 million in research funding.
